This Friday, September 13, we re headed to Smugglers Notch for a morning of adventure. We ll meet at the Barnes Camp Visitor Center at 9:30, enjoy the boardwalk through the beaver pond, and continue up the trail to the first picnic area up the Notch for an early lunch/snack then head back to the cars. 2 miles (or so...). YAC Outing: Button Bay State Park Camping and Mt. Philo Hike\n\nMontpelier YAC is going camping! We re headed to Button Bay State Park this Thursday, September 19- Saturday, September 21. Meals will be on your own/potluck. Friday we ll head to Mt. Philo (about 2 miles round trip) for a hike. Hawks are kettling and we want to see the magic! Saturday TBD: maybe Shelburne Farms Harvest Festival, or some other fun outing. Join us for one or two nights or just the day hike (meet at 10 am at the trailhead; there is a day use fee and you can drive up the toll road if that works better for you).
