Easy to Moderate. 4 +/- miles. Stranahan Forest. Walk on old woods road and trails, looking for spring flowers and exploring a beaver pond, vernal pool, cellar holes, and site of grist mill. Wildflower and nature walk at Irish Hill. Led by Bob Popp, former Vermont State Botanist for 33 years, we will meet at the trailhead by Berlin Pond. This will not be a vigorous hike, but rather a leisurely look at the spring flowers and other plants with many stops along the way. We will start at 9 AM and finish by noon or earlier.
