Start at the Hunger Mountain trailhead in Worcester, and hike up to White Rock Mountain, returning on the same trail. We will use snowshoes or microspikes depending upon conditions. 8 miles. Appalachian Trail. Rte. 12 to Winturi Shelter. Round-trip excursion will be either a hike or snowshoe depending on the trail conditions. This segment of the LT consists of moderately rolling hills through the woods of Windsor County. Reaching the destination will depend on timing and trail conditions.
