Description

Hike. Calais. Easy. 2-3 miles. 2-3+ hours. Hike to the boardwalk on Chickering Bog, which is actually a fen, and along a nearby woods trail to see early spring woodland and bog plants. We will stop at the boardwalk, observe, and compare the features of bogs and fens. Bring water and snacks; and binoculars if you want to view across the open water.
