Due to the abundant March snowfall and rain forecast for this week, we will not hike the Stranahan Town Forest. Instead we will walk a loop of about 4 miles in Calais from the boat access parking area at Mirror Lake (No. 10 Pond), along Pond Road to Nelson Pond Road to Cranberry Meadow Road (to stone engraving in rock) and back to Chartier Hill Road to King Pond Road to Foster Hill Road to the Boat Access Parking Lot. We will look for waterfowl on the ponds and signs of early spring along the road. Meet at parking lot at East Montpelier Town Clerk s Office at 1 p.m. or at the boat access parking area at Mirror Lake (No. 10 Pond) at 1:15 p.m. Contact leader: Phyllis Rubenstein at 793-6313 or Phyllis@PhyllisRubensteinLaw.comcastbiz.net.
